Abstract
ABSTRACT
Every organization aspires for its people to advance towards managing quality, exceptional and outstanding performance in order to achieve optimal results. The work environment, job atisfaction and performance all contribute to an organization's success. This study investigated the impact of the physical work environment (x1) and non-physical work environment (x2) on job satisfaction (y) and performance (z). This type of research uses a quantitative method with a population of 425 and a significance threshold of 10%, yielding 81 samples that use the Slovin formula. SPSS Statistic 26 helps with descriptive analysis, data quality testing, multiple regression analysis and determinant coefficient analysis. The grand mean value of all variables is classified. We found the multiple regression equations y=11,796+0,391x1+0,248x2, and z=-0,108+0,004x1-0,005x2+1,006y. There is a positive and significant effect of x1 and x2 on y; there is no direct influence of x1 and x2 on z; y directly has a positive and significant effect on z; indirectly, x1 and x2 through y have a significant influence on z; x1 and x2 explain y to 41,4%, meaning another 58,6% is explained by other factors; z is explained by x1, x2, and y to 98,3%, with only 1,7% explained by other factors outside this research.
